pamwax, you inspire me to be brave

I've already been keeping a sort of picture journal of my efforts. So, I'm going to post it here. Maybe we can cheer each other on, eh?

I'll fess up: since the beginning of this year I've lost approximately 30 pounds (not sure exactly cause I didn't realize I was loosing it until I'd already started) and gone from a size 20 jeans to a size 13/14 jeans. I'm pretty proud of myself usually, except when I hit a wall and it seems like it's not going to start coming off again. It's so hard to have self-control and determination all the time.

I'll help you, if you'll help me.

Of course, Nagano-san is a great help, too. He is such an inspirational figure for me. The way he never gives up; the way he cheers for his friends even after he's fallen; the way he smiles when it's all over and you can practically hear him thinking, "next time"; his sense of satisfaction in the doing, not just the winning; he has so many good qualities...

He inspired me to write this one day a little while ago when I didn't want to finish my workout. And writing poetry (or whatever you want to call it) hasn't been my thing in many years.

Hot sweat between my breasts
muscles burn
refuse the next step.
Like heat lightning over wave's crest you smile.
My foot lifts.
I move on.

Well you look absolutely fantastic! You should show yourself more often.

Thank you Jeannie. I should quit comparing the "now" me to the "then" me and just be the best person possible at this stage in my life. I know that, but I don't always remember it.

I agree with Jeannie. You are looking good. I am only down 13 pounds but I am happy with the start. Still in my 18 jeans though. At least I kept the 16s and 14s so I won't have to shop for awhile. We can start the mutual admiration club for Nagano fans. His picture is right in front of the treadmill.

Jeannie why don't you send her Yagyu Gaiden. I usually listen to country or an audio book, but this song can get you to the end of your workout

I would have never guessed you were in a size 18, pam.
With me, it's this stomach. I don't have the discipline to really work hard on that, yet. I'm working up to it slowly, I guess you could say.

Sure! Would you like the song? Pamwax and I both work out to it and picture Nagano-san (doing whatever!) I'm trying to keep it G-rated for your audience, and so I'll say no more.

Me too. Sit ups are so hard. My waist and stomach are like jello. Isn't that lovely

I would love the music, Jeannie. I usually start out with old 70's funk or I especially like KC & the Sunshine Band. He's just so darned peppy. But lately I've had to switch over near the end to stuff like Pantera and Iron Maiden to get me to the finish line. (yeah, I know, anger managment issues, too. HA!)

Ok, I emailed the song to you. I hope that you have high speed because the song is 4.80 megs.

I have a four pack, and a bowl of jell-o underneath. I've got to do something about my lower stomach. But at least I can see what sex I am now. Honestly! My stomach used to be so big I couldn't see "down there".
