Islands...

... in my stream of consciousness

A can of corn at the Kroger was 79 cents today. One week ago it was 55 cents. Great incentive to get that garden going first thing in the spring, eh?

My opinion, purely my opinion: Hamas and the Palestinians could stop this slaughter right now if they wanted to. Obviously they don't want to.

Bill Richardson withdrew his name from nomination for Sec. of Commerce today. Too bad. He's one uber-smart fella. Probably why he withdrew his name, eh? Smart enough to see what a big circus it would all be. Still say he'd be perfect for just about any spot in the in-coming administration. Oh well, perhaps he can just be used as a "man about town", "jack of all trades" sort of "unofficial" member of the admin. Someone who can work back channels that confirmed members cannot. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I really like Bill Richardson.

Why are stories about Zeus, Venus or Oden myths but we consider stories about Krishna, Moses, or Buddha to be religious texts? What makes one text more believable than the other? I'm just sayin'...

ADDENDUM
The Bush retirement plan: build library, enjoy perks

Well, I couldn't resist that. I saw the headline and that's the first thing that came to mind.

LOL I keep thinking of the Clinton Adult Library :D (okay okay that's about as political as I'll get :p .. snorts.. snickers.. bwahahhahahaha)..

Ooooooooh you will be doing a garden?? I wanna see!! I miss my Mom's.. she's is totally a green thumb extraordinaire! One year we had cucumbers, brocoli, 3 types of lettuce, bell peppers, 4 types of tomatoes.. yeah.. I swear I was going to turn green with all that veggie overload but MAN was it good.. I mean.. not even close to crap you buy in the stores.

I'm gonna TRY to grow a garden. You can be sure I will taking pics and blogging about it. Pete wants to plant flowers between those hedges out front, but... he's gonna get tomato bushes or corn stalks or something... If I'm gonna half kill myself to make something grow... it better damned well give me something more in return a pretty flower.

Unless... UNLESS... they be EDIBLE flowers. bwahahaha....

That roll out garden thing is fugly and takes over your lawn.. ROFL Someone I know bought it.. (not met LOL).. Corn! Hey I tried that before my cat ate it.. sucked it was a school project.. I did at least show the teacher what was left if it and she laughed and still gave me an A since I DID the project and didn't come up with the worst excuse known to man.. "MY CAT ATE IT".. it was cute... the corn was that tiny size that sometimes shows up in salads.. wasn't .. supposed to be that way.. Maybe an herb garden? Those are resilient things..

You've got that right! I keep watching the protests at the Israeli embassy in San Francisco- pro-Israel on one side of the street and pro-Palestine on the other. I want to stand right in the middle of the street and scream that both sides are acting like idiots.

You're asking the wrong person. I don't focus on "who said what", but rather "what was said."

Good luck with corn. Mine was terrible so I gave that up.

Hamas is never going to stop. There hasn't ever been peace in the middle east and I don't expect it in my life time. As long as they teach babies to hate peace doesn't have a chance.

I like Bill Richardson, too, and it seems groceries go up every time I enter the store especially at Kroger. I don't think there will ever be peace in the Middle East either.
