Please God...

... let it work...

US approves 1st stem cell study for spinal injury
The article does not appear to give much hope for correcting Thomas' injury in the near future, but in time... who knows?

Thomas at 10 months, after nerve graft surgery. It didn't help much. But wasn't he a little cutie? He still is.

Awww... Thomas really is a cute little guy. I bet he's blushing now. Gee, mom, way to embarrass the boy all over the internet! :D

I hope the treatment derived from stem cells will be a huge success. And who knows- one day it may even help me.

Thanks Anna! I couldn't agree more.

tehehe... nah, Jeannie, he also thinks he was a cute baby. Cause I said so and Mom's always right. I taught him well, huh? :-)

And me, Jeannie. Stem cell research could find a way to cure (or at least help) diabetes, too. And the Alzheimers that my BIL has been diagnosed with... and so much more. If I cross my fingers any tighter I may break the bones... would be worth it, tho, wouldn't it?

That's my prayer as well, SKW. Between this and other things, President Obama has done more good in the 3 days he's been in office than Bush did in eight years.

And yes indeed Thomas was a beautiful baby.

Thomas was such a little cutie pie. So precious. His eyes in that photo are calm, but determined. Now he is a giant cutie pie!

Great news! Looking forward to more great news to come! Optimism, nice feeling.

He was a cutie :) Thanks for the picture!

I'm always interested in the adult stem cells (the ones donated and not the embryonic ones that destroy life to get it). There's been rapid process using these cells overseas in everything from spinal injuries to Alzheimers. I hope they do find it soon.. just cringe at the embryonic ones since evidence shows they don't need those. So many people need that help it's obscene. I pray for a huge breakthrough now that they crossed the line.

P.S. That article is evidence of my opinion. Didn't check the link until I posted my previous comment.. Oh I hope that continues!
